Thoughts on thoughts on thoughts
Have you ever had your thoughts and ideas be shut down? Maybe by a stranger? a parent? a friend? a role model? We've all had our thoughts, ideas and maybe even dreams crushed by someone. "Sometimes I feel like all I ever do is Find different ways to word the same, old song Ever since I came along From the day the song called ‘’Hi! My Name Is’’ dropped Started thinking my name was fault' Cause anytime things went wrong I was the one who they would blame it on" - Guts over Fear by Eminem
My parents love to shut down my dreams and ideas because they claim “they’re saving me from heartbreak”. Those countless nights I sit on my bed looking at a blank wall asking myself “Am I really not good enough?”. I’ve spent nights silently crying and praying for answer. Thinking that the only thing I'm good enough for is simply hiding myself in the shadows. That's I'm not worthy, that i'm a waste of space in this world. Only to finally realise , months and months later, that I am good enough. But I know some of you, maybe even all of you, struggle with doubts and fears about your dreams and ideas on what you want to do in your future. I truly believe you can do anything you want, you may not believe that right now but as time passes by the crying will turn into motivation, those sleepless nights will become nights filled with more dreams than you can count. It’s time for you to stop hiding your dreams in the dark and to let them see the light. So this is a letter to you, a letter to inspire more hope and love for yourself, I hope you enjoy and find motivation to keep fighting for your dreams.
Dear you,
I know you're crying out on the inside. Crying out for someone to just hear your heart breaking into pieces. Please don't give up, please don't stop thinking or dreaming. I know it hurts, I know that everything may seem dark and oh so pointless. But don't let anyone tell you that you can't. You know you strengths and weakness's better than anyone else. You know you, no one else can speak on behalf of you. You are so much stronger than you think you are. You deserve the best of the best, and nothing less than that. And when someone makes you feel like you're the blame, you're not worthy of anything good, or good enough, you deserve someone better. Someone who can see how talented you are, how beautiful you are but most of all how you bring light into this world that oh so badly needs more light during these times.
So here are 10 reasons why you are good enough, and why your dreams and input in this world matter so much. 1. You were placed here for a reason. You have a purpose, and if you don't know your purpose, go out and find it. 2. You have something no one else has to offer. You've got something no one else can compare to. 3. You make mistakes. Big one, small ones, medium ones. Mistakes allow you to to have the opportunity to become even better than before. 4. Someone out there loves you. Maybe you've found your soul mate, but if you haven't, your soul mate is still out their waiting for you to love them just as much them to you. 5. You have shown vulnerability that shakes you to your core. You have given someone a tender and precious part of yourself that you can’t get back. You have a type of courage the world is in desperate need of.
6. You let go and choose to keep living. You understood that you were worth more than the way you were treated. You learned to move on. 7. You’ve become aware of the people who need to stay in your life, and sometimes those are the ones that need more forgiveness than others. 8. You have let your emotions consume you at times. You’ve sat down and drowned in yourself and truly known what it means to be human. 9. You’ve watched the sunrise or listened to the wind blowing the leaves around and actually appreciated it. You can think about other things other than yourself. 10. You may be in a rut right now, or maybe you’re just having a rough day, you know that things will get better. You have hope.
Some days are better than others. When you wake up in the morning and you feel like you’ve lost control over your life. When you feel like you have no clue what you’ve been doing for the past few years, months, minutes, seconds. When you question everything you’ve done and if you’ve made all the wrong turns. When you see others success and compare it to your own. Please remember that life is full of obstacles, full of ups and downs and full of emotions. You will feel disappointed from time to time, but it is totally and completely normal, it’s human. The most important thing to remember is you will never stay down for long as long as you don’t allow your self to. You are good enough, now go and prove it to the rest of the world.
Together we can see you achieve your dreams. If you ever need a hand, know that I am here. Know that I want to help you in any way I can because you are the future.
